Medicaid Expansion: A Game Changer for South Dakota
South Dakota can expand Medicaid to the great benefit of ALL its citizens. Each and every year it will bring hundreds of millions of dollars into the state that otherwise wouldn't be there. These funds will save many lives, keep people healthier, lower insurance premiums, generate thousands of jobs, and provide critical resources for South Dakota's rural hospitals and elderly care facilities. That is why we have been in the streets circulated our APPROVED Constitutional Amendment to expand Medicaid in 2022 SINCE NOVEMBER.

A fierce advocate for working families, and native of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Tom led a storied career as South Dakota’s Congressman and United States Senator. As Senate Majority Leader, Tom oversaw the modernization of the nation’s rural healthcare system, including the creation of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) a Medicaid program that pays for over 50% of births in South Dakota each year.
